Goal: To promote and secure our Profession in the areas served by the Northwestern Ohio Dental Hygienists' Association! Objectives: 1. Enhance and increase membership 2. Promote oral health in the community 3. Elevate consumer awareness of a licensed dental hygienist 4. 24 CEUs required EVERY two years
Now that we've passed the deadline for the recent renewal cycle, it's not too late to begin earning your minimum of 24 CEUs for the next renewal in December of 2013. There are many opportunities for getting your CEUs. Put August 17, 2012 on your calendar and earn 6 CEUs this summer. ODHA also sponsors Total Development Weekend annually and there are numerous component sponsored courses. Check ODHA's site for opportunities in your area!

Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 4-7pm

Legislative Reception and 1 FREE CE
The Legislative Reception and FREE CE will be held at the Statehouse Atrium in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, March 13th from 4-7pm. The CE is from 4-5pm, the reception is from 5-7pm. Go to the ODHA home page for details and to register for this event!! Take this opportunity to talk to our legislators and meet and greet other Ohio Dental Hygienists!!

Volunteer for Oral Cancer Screenings!
Working with the HEAD AND NECK ALLIANCE, head, neck and oral cancer screenings will be held on Saturday, March 31st from 9am-2pm at Ear, Nose, Throat and Sinus Associates, 770 W. High Street, Suite 460, Lima. There are 17 rooms and 3 doctors participating, and more volunteers would be extremely helpful. If YOU are interested in participating in this important screening event, please contact Jill Hay as soon as possible at: Hay.J@rhodesstate.edu
